Akshara International celebrated global diversity with the theme “ONE WORLD – MANY PEOPLE” – as a part of the International day celebrations. The visitors to the event were spellbound. The authentic scenes created around 21 countries world over, was an indicator of the extent to which the students were immersed in the cultures of “their” countries. During the period of three weeks children related to and virtually became natives of certain countries.

The research extended to all spheres of a country ranging from the culture, currency, monuments and myriad aspects of life in the country. The costumes lent the enhanced flavor, while it was the zeal exhibited by the children which stole the show. From the very somber immigration officials stamping the passport, to the children freezing in the igloos of Greenland, Akshara was symbolic of the global citizens that will surely crossover in the years to come.

On Saturday, 14th December 2013, Akshara International School has organized International Day with the unique theme “One World – Many People”. Idea behind the event was Learning by Exploration.

  • Languages
  • Festivals
  • Famous Personalities
  • Places of Importance

  • Various ways of Greetings
  • Clothing Styles
  • Country’s Contribution to Science and Technology
  • Official Currency
  • Political Structure

Students made informative charts and posters. Students were engaged in explaining the same to visitors and parents during the event. A special replica of Passport issued to each student’s parents. On the event day, visitors (parents) were made to undergo immigration check (Stamping) to visit each country’s classroom.
